Air Show Pictures 2005

Well, another year (the eleventh) and another Air and Sea Show. Looking back over all of the shows (I haven't missed a one of them), I have to say I feel that this year's show was probably the weakest one to date. There were lots of laps of down time between the performers and several jets didn't perform this year (mainly the promised Raptor). I can't remember the F117 not flying in the past, but it didn't show this year and neither was the Harrier, also. There were no A10's this year or B2 bomber, either. The fireworks display (I should say the lead up to the display) was very disappointing. Normally, the sky is lit up by either an F14 or a B1B bomber prior to the display, but not this year, though.

On the plus side, the boat race was the best it ever has been even with a bit rough seas on Saturday. The Marines came back and invaded the beach, which was a pretty good crowd pleaser.
